Everyone loves a cheeky drugstore bargain, right? I know I do! So I thought I would put together my UK drugstore makeup must haves for the past year, fabulous products without the hefty price tag! I will link all the products I can find online, so you can snatch them up! If you’re out and about shopping, they are available at your local Boots or Superdrug.
Let’s begin and roll out the red carpet for my UK drugstore makeup must-haves!
Soap & Glory – Thick & Fast High Definition Collagen Mascara
Over the years I have been a bit of a crazy mascara lady.. Hunting for perfection. Always disappointed, I almost gave up, until I came across this bad boy! This mascara is the most tremendous mascara I have ever used (and for the crazy mascara lady to say that, its kind of a big deal haha). It gives a remarkable definition, so no clumps, just gorgeous feathery lashes! It’s super lengthening and it gives wonderful volume. Making your eyes look big, bold and beautiful. This is why I just had to put it in my drugstore makeup must haves. It retails in Boots for £10.50 which I think is pretty incredible. I truly believe there isn’t any other drugstore mascara that can beat this one!
L’Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette
Getting my hands on my very first cream contour kit was rather daunting at first. Previously, I had always used powder contour kits. I thought it was time to switch things up and I had heard nothing but awesome things about this product. It’s super easy to work with, and it doesn’t smudge your base foundation. I achieve the best results by blending with my real techniques beauty blending sponge. Retailing at £9.99 it’s an ultimate bargain.
Max Factor Creme Puff Powder
This beautiful powder is perfect for you if you love a matte finish to your makeup. Most of all, it provides unbelievable coverage and keeps your makeup in place all day with a flawless finish. An essential factor of any product is its lastability, therefore you will be delighted to know this powder lasts foreveeeeeeeeer! Not that repurchasing would be a problem because this product is superb value for money at £6.99.
Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner
This lovely black eyeliner pencil became part of my everyday makeup routine last year when it peeped from inside of a Christmas hamper under the tree and said ”Hey Girl!”. It came as a delight, as my previous liner was on its very last legs! Perfect for lining the waterline of the eye, and to enhance a simple smokey look by smudging the outer corners of the eyes. So as far as pencil liners go, it is definitely impressive.
Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer
I have finally found a drugstore concealer that works wonders for me! I thought I would give it a try due to these dark circles that are now constantly under my eyes … bad times. Oh, and not forgetting those damn breakouts. Another excellent use for this concealer is using it to slightly highlight the face if you have a shade that is a little lighter than the skin (two products in one, bonus!). The Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer has a perfect consistency and therefore blends absolutely beautifully. I find this does not budge all day, so goodbye bags and blemishes! Hello to that highlighted, flawless, fresh face.
St. Tropez Bronzer
I’m pretty sure this is classed as drugstore as I do buy this from boots, however, it’s slightly more expensive than the above products. It retails for around £20, which is rather expensive for a drugstore bronzer, BUT oh-em-gee! It is so beautiful. You need it in your life. This gorgeous bronzer can be used on the face and body, making it fabulous for a holiday, or if you are wearing fake tan. I use this on my cheeks lightly to give myself a warm bronzed glow. In the summer months, I love using it on my body to give that sun-kissed look. It also lasts FOREVER due to the fact you don’t need to use much product. Another wonderful product to add to my drugstore makeup must haves.
I hope you all loved hearing about my drugstore makeup must haves for 2017! If you can fit any more products in your already bulging makeup bag, then definitely squeeze these in! Or if you are on the hunt for high-end brand alternatives, you should definitely snap these up. Do we have any matches included? Pop a comment below with some of your faves, I’d love to hear them.
