The Best Makeup On A Budget
I’m a huge believer that drugstore makeup is just as good as the more expensive, high-end products. You don’t need to spend a fortune to have flawless makeup! Although I’ve had a few hit and misses, I thought I would share with you guys, the best makeup on a budget. You can thank me later girl!
Over the last few months, I have been getting my hands on a lot of drugstore makeup. I wanted to try some new bits and there are a few products that everyone has been raving about. I mean, if people are saying it’s good, I NEED IT, right?!
After finding some new gems and having a few other little diamonds in my makeup bag that I may have mentioned before. I thought what better way to share them, than in a blog post to my lovelies! I’m super happy that I have managed to find a full face of the best makeup on a budget.
The majority of the products below are under £10 which I think is amazing and perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to splash out. I would be 100% happy with using this makeup routine every day and adding in luxuries when I fancy it!
Let’s get started…
Sleek MakeUP Mattifying Primer
I’ve wanted to try a drugstore primer for quite a while so I picked this one up from Boots. As you guys know, I have oily skin, so this Mattifying primer is perfect for my skin. This is also available as a hydrating primer and it retails for the same price.
I feel like this product definitely helps with the oily shine I usually get, my makeup lasts a little longer and I just love the feeling of applying a primer before my makeup. To be honest, I don’t think primers are a necessity unless you are using them as a double action product i.e hydrating/mattifying and improving the longevity of your makeup.
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation
Now, I have mentioned this foundation a lot across my social media channels. I think drugstore foundations are brilliant! I like to switch it up every now and again but I always come back to this one! The coverage is fantastic, it feels lovely to apply and after setting it with powder I find it lasts pretty well throughout the day.
Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Powder Compact
After hearing mixed reviews on this powder, I wanted to create my own opinion. I love the Infallible Foundation so I had a good feeling about this. I think it is lovely for setting foundation and adding a little extra coverage where needed. After only using it for around a week, I would say it’s great value for money and I will be repurchasing this.
Makeup Revolution- I Heart Bronzer Hearts Summer Of Love
Ok, maybe I was tempted to buy this because it’s in the shape of a love heart…..
The packaging and design are super cute! I think this is a lover bronzer, as the name suggests, it is perfect for summer. One thing to be aware of is that it has quite a lot of shimmer in it. So if you’re not a fan of shimmered bronzer, this isn’t for you but I think it looks gorgeous!
L’Oreal Paris Paradise Brow Pomade
I was on the hunt for a drugstore alternative to my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade. Although the texture of this brow product is a lot creamier, I would say it is a good dupe! I wasn’t a huge fan of the brush that came with it so I am using my own at the moment. Again, I love the packaging! Pinky/rose gold vibes always catch my attention.
NYX Love Contours All – Face and Eyeshadow Palette
This is the most expensive product in this post but boy, it’s a good one! Two eyebrow powders, two highlighters, two contour shades, and nine eyeshadows, how amazing?! I think it is a real bargain for the price! I use the lightest contour shade, both highlighters and all of the eyeshadows. The eyeshadows are by far my favourite, they can be used for a natural look or glammed up for the evening. Unfortunately, the eyebrow powders aren’t quite the right shade for me but they could be used as eyeshadows too!
Sleek Highlighter Palette – Solstice
If you’re looking for an amazing drugstore highlighter, look no further! I have had this highlighting palette for quite a long time now and I have only just hit pan on my favourite shade (although I love all four). These shades are so beautiful, I think they are just the perfect amount of shimmer for me, not too little and not too much! I would highly recommend this palette.
Soap & Glory Thick & Fast HD Mascara High Definition Collagen Coat
I know, I know, I bang on about it all the time but it’s just perfect! I’m sorry ? You guys know I would only recommend products that I truly think are great. So if I don’t shut up about a product, you know I really love it! I just can’t fault this mascara at all. The packaging is elegant, the results are perfect and I think it is 100% worth the price. Makeup Revolution Setting Spray Pro Fix Oil Control 100ml
It is a hot summers day, you need a freshen up and you remember your makeup setting spray is in the fridge (TBK TIP). There is no better feeling! Setting Spray is something I never really thought was important but now I can’t live without it. This spray noticeably keeps my makeup in place all day and like I said previously, it is so lovely to freshen up your makeup throughout the day. As the name suggests, this product also helps to keep oily shine at bay. With this spray and my mattifying primer, I am getting barely any oily shine now! They are the perfect duo.
And there we have it… The Best Makeup On A Budget!
To conclude, I would obviously recommend all of these products to you guys! I have them all in my makeup bag and use them on a daily basis. Like I said before, I love finding amazing makeup with brilliant prices. Do let me know if you guys buy any of these products, or maybe you already have them and love them? Let me know in the comments below. Also, I’d love some of your recommendations on what you think is the best makeup on a budget.
Lots of Love…
